This is on behalf of my son, who left UK September this year to take a job with Barclays in Singapore, on a Singapore contract. Full time, open contract. Wife followed 6 weeks later, baby due this month. Previously had worked as a contractor (temp) in UK. Will retun eventually but don't know when: could be next year, could be 3,4 or more years. HMRC won't make a decision on residency and will need this to know where to claim tax relief for relocation expenses. Need to understand residency according to year/month of return. Need also to ensure self assessment forms are completed in full at relevant time. Finally, need to integrate this with ensuring Singapore tax is filed properly. Looking for
