I am an independent consultant and I moved from the US about 6 months ago. I worked for a company full time in the US until July 2012 when I moved to London as a dependant on a visa. Since July 2012 I have done some work with the firm in the U.S as well as their partially owned subsidiary in London. I get paid in my US account for the work done remotely, and in my UK account for the work done with the firm here. I have been keeping money aside for taxes, but I tried looking at US and UK tax information pages and I am not sure the correct way to go about paying them.
