I am living in the USA and a citizen of the USA but receive state pension from the UK because I worked there 20 years. I am 74 years old and now being asked to file a Self Assessment Tax Return for 2010-2011 and 2011-2012. My total income from the UK is about 4,500 pounds per year. I called HMRC and they say I have to get a software to file my self assessment returns and they can't be done via paper of online. Can someone please help.
