My partner and I are moving to work abroad for 2-3 years from January. I've established that we will qualify as non-uk residents with split year treatment.

However, there are three things I would like to clarify with someone

1. How do we ensure HMRC are aware and deal with with our tax appropriately?

2. We also own a flat which we will let out whilst we are away. I expect the rent to cover the mortgage costs and running costs, leaving no income. I'm hoping therefore that there is nothing we need to do in that respect.

3. Are we free to transfer our earnings back to the UK at any time and secondary to that - can we place them in a ISA / savings account?
