The business is a lettings business (Max 4 tenants £20k - £30k pa turnover) belonging to a Bare Trust comprising 2 Trustees and 11 beneficiaries and operated at and from a large country house.
Since the start, the lettings business has been managed by one of the beneficiaries of the trust who resides at the property with their family and also operates an independent private business from the property.
The lettings business has ceased operations, all debts have been settled, the property has been sold and the balance of the lettings business account has been returned to the Trust.
A couple of anomalies in the final accounts remain unexplained and it is of some concern to the Trustees that both the lettings business accounts and the operator's own private business accounts have been prepared on a yearly basis by the same accountant under the operator's close direction.
Before disbursing the funds and as part of their due diligence to all 11 beneficiaries, the Trustees would like to commission an independent audit of the lettings business records over the last three years to confirm that the business has been managed with the financial proberty to be expected of a Trust and for the ongoing peace of mind of all Trustees and Beneficiaries.
Most of the records are available electronically in email, jpeg, pdf or spreadsheet files although there are some paper records which can be made available as required.
In response to this invitation and in addition to your standard terms and conditions, please provide either :-
- A single fixed price quotation which should include all expenses stating both the start and completion date,
and/or,
- a Time & Materials quotation which should include an hourly rate and estimates of; receipted expenses, start date, maximum total hours and completion date.
